NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Faith International University admits men and women of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, age, or disability to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the institution. It does not discriminate with regards to any of these categories in the administration of its educational and admissions policies, financial assistance, and academic programs.

DISABILITY SERVICES

Disability Support Services (DSS) works in conjunction with the Admissions Committee for the purpose of designing “reasonable” accommodations that provide equal access to otherwise qualified students. Students are strongly encouraged to contact the Dean of Students (ext. 120) before applying officially to the institution to determine if a reasonable accommodation can be made. For example, an accommodation would not be reasonable if:

  1. The accommodation poses a threat to the health or safety of the applicant or others;
  2. The accommodation means making a substantial change in an essential element of the curriculum;
  3. Making the accommodation would require a substantial alteration in the way educational opportunities are provided, such as the altering of course objectives; and
  4. Making the accommodation would impose an undue financial or administrative burden to the institution.

To be eligible for disability-related services, a person must have a current diagnosed and documented disability (defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973).
